AFVD Foton - Focus on Color
EXPO from Thursday 22 February up to Wednesday 21 March 2018 inclusive.
Amateur Photographers Association Drienerlo Foton will show their creativity around a self-chosen theme in the annual exhibition. The theme of the exhibition is this time: focus on color.
So color photography. In the time before digital photography existed, it would not have been such a logical choice if you wanted to do everything yourself. Editing the image yourself and printing the photo was a precious good at the time. That is different now. A computer with a photo editing program and a printer, you do not need more anymore. The AFVD Foton website also contains the following recruitment text: "Becoming a member of Foton is the first step in improving your photography and design skills. For this you do not even need a nice SLR camera, nowadays you also get a long way with your mobile. "
Every Wednesday evening there is a Photon evening in the Vrijhof for all members, with activities on various subjects in photography. A different theme is treated every week. For example, attention is paid not only to various techniques (such as portrait photography, high-speed photography, light painting etc.), but also to post-editing photos in Lightroom or adding effects in Photoshop. There is also an occasional lecture or an exhibition held. So also this year. In the spring there will even be a second one during the week of amateur art, WAK 2018.
The opening in presence of the members of Foton takes place on Thursday 22 February at 7.30 pm.

AFVD Foton - Focus op Kleur
EXPO van donderdag 22 februari t/m woensdag 21 maart 2018.
Amateur Fotografen Vereniging Drienerlo Foton toont in deze jaarlijkse expositie in de Vrijhof hun creativiteit rondom een zelfgekozen thema. Het thema van de expositie is deze keer: focus op kleur.
Kleurenfotografie dus. In de tijd voordat er digitale fotografie bestond was dat nog helemaal niet zo’n logische keuze geweest als je alles eigenlijk zelf wil doen. Zelf de foto bewerken en afdrukken was toen een kostbaar goed. Dat is nu anders. Een computer met fotobewerkingsprogramma en een printer, meer heb je eigenlijk niet meer nodig. Op de website van AFVD Foton staat dan ook de volgende wervingstekst: ”Lid worden van Foton is de eerste stap in het verbeteren van je fotografeer en design vaardigheden. Hiervoor heb je niet eens een mooie spiegelreflexcamera nodig, tegenwoordig kom je met je mobiel ook een heel eind.”
Elke woensdagavond is er in de Vrijhof een Foton-avond voor alle leden, met activiteiten rondom allerlei verschillende onderwerpen in de fotografie. Elke week wordt er een ander thema behandeld. Zo wordt er bijvoorbeeld niet alleen aandacht besteed aan verschillende technieken (zoals portretfotografie, high speed fotografie, light painting etc.) maar ook aan de nabewerking van foto’s in Lightroom of effecten toevoegen in Photoshop. Ook wordt er af en toe een lezing georganiseerd of een expositie gehouden. Zo ook dus dit jaar. In het voorjaar zal er zelfs een tweede volgen tijdens de week van de amateurkunst, WAK 2018.
De opening in aanwezigheid van de leden van Foton vindt plaats op donderdag 22 februari om 19.30 uur.
