"Exilent is a D-Beat// Crust// Hardcorepunkband from Hannover// Germany which was formed in 2009. After a few changes in the lineup they started playing shows in 2010 and released a five song demo-CD “D-Beat Overkill Hangover“ in January 2011. A year later after several shows the first album, the “Born to Struggle“ LP, was recorded. It was produced in good old DIY manner and released with the help of the record label Antikörper-Export.
The lyrics of the songs are written by each member of the band and therefore are characterized by a great variety of topics. They treat political as well as personal issues and all have in common a socio-critical attitude. In reviews and by listeners, the sound often was compared to bands like Fleas’n Lice or Detestation. In summer 2012, Exilent toured in Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia."
