A storm takes away a whole country, leaving only a ruined basement, an old lady
looking for memories and the desperate letter of a mother crying for the unpunished
death of her son. Miró is a devastated country, but it has survived to protect the memory
of a history that repeats itself and never lears of its own mistakes, where the death of
children is the worse consequence.
Ten years, 5 albums plus a double live cd/dvd, a documentary and finally, after three
years, their ambitious sixth studio album. TALCO, one of the most important ska,
punk, folk bands in the European scene, strikes again.
A career going upwards which´s making a bigger and wider crowd. Their “sold out”
gigs all across Europe and their presence at numerous festivals along with well known
international artists, sometimes even headlining, makes their following bigger and
bigger. An impressive curriculum but always open to new experiences and surprises,
and this new album will not deceive the public, for sure.
The return of TALCO, with their punk-chanka, will mark a new age with no limits for a
band that escapes from any stylistic cliché, merging different musical forms.
An extract of “Silent town” (Kasba Music, 2015), ” Dalla pallida Miró “is one of the
pieces that completes the record based on the book written by TALCO´s own singer,
Dema.
The song (like the whole album) was recorded at Venecia´s Winterland studios, in
February 2015, and mixed and mastered by Marc Boria at Estudi Labedoble, Terrassa
between May and June 2015.
