Toporkestra from Ukraine and Moldova combine Eastern music traditions of Ukraine, Romania and Bulgaria with Balkan, gypsy and klezmer music, kolomyjka and Soviet pop. They are notorious for their crazy high-voltage shows and have played over 100 festivals all over Europe, Russia and India, and collaborated with outstanding musicians, like Gogol Bordello or Oleg Skrypka. They claim to be a magical gypsy punk panic band with the ability to make a baby boom all over the world! Their show at the Melusina as part of CinEast 2016 will undoubtedly be a more than solid follow-up on the memorable shows of the bands Fanfara Transylvania and Klezmafour.
