Nennt ihn Blues und schreit ihn aus Euch raus, damit alle anderen mindestens genau so schlechte Laune kriegen, wie ihr! Geteiltes Leid ist doppeltes Leid! Wenn ihr Euch scheiße fühlt, warum sollen sich die anderen nicht auch scheiße fühlen? Scheiß auf den Montag! Scheiß auf "heute-mal-'n-Ruhigen-auf-der-Couch". Scheiß auf "lieber-nüchtern-bleiben“!

Patrik Jansson Band was formed in Stockholm late 2007. After playing drums in various blues bands and jazz combos for several years on and off, Patrik decided it was time for another challenge. He picked up the guitar and started playing and singing in hopes of developing as a songwriter and a musician. “I’ve always loved to learn new things” he says. With a new mission in life, to form and front a great blues band, he started looking for musicians to play with. “I had a pretty clear idea of what I was looking for” he says, “I wanted to play blues with a modern approach, not the same old 12 bars over and over that you can hear everyone else play.”, “Blues is supposed to feel fresh and alive, it’s a most vital music in my opinion, or at least it can be if given a chance. In short I wanted to play the kind of music that I would like to hear myself and that I think a lot of other people would like and appreciate”.
Patrik Jansson Band has got one foot in the blues tradition and the other foot everywhere else, and that makes for a grate mix of styles with a focus around blues. With influences that span the whole blues spectrum from T-Bone Walker and John Lee Hooker to John Mayall and Gary Moore, Buddy guy and Stevie Ray Vaughan to Freddie King and Albert Collins, Johnny Winter and Joe Bonamassa, Doyle Bramhall III and Johnny Lang to Rory Gallagher and ZZ Top all of it with a fresh approach it’s a blues spiced up and flavoured for the present.
