MOTHERSHIP is an American rock band formed in Dallas, Texas, in 2010 by brothers Kyle Juett (Bass/Vocals) and Kelley Juett (Guitar/Vocals). The initial lineup featured their Father John Juett on drums, who after a year of playing with his sons and recording a 3 song demo, stepped aside at the end of 2011 for the arrival of now permanent drummer Juston (Judge) Smith in 2012.
This supersonic intergalactic Heavy Rock trio have been heavily touring consistently across the majority of the United States/Canada, and have successfully completed two tours overseas in parts of Europe and Scandinavia with goals of reaching Australia, Japan, and South America in the coming years.
Since its formation, Mothership has released two studio albums (Mothership - 2013 - Ripple Music) (Mothership "II" - 2014 - Ripple Music) and one live album (Live Over Freak Valley - 2015 - Ripple Music). The band has also been featured on the following compilation albums: "Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland [REDUX]" (performing "Still Raining, Still Dreaming" - 2015 - Magnetic Eye Records) and "Dazed & Confused - A Stoned-Out Salute To Led Zeppelin" (performing "Heartbreaker" - 2015 - Cleopatra Records).
The band will be releasing its highly anticipated third studio album "High Strangeness" in Spring 2017. The band is best known for its highly energetic and infectious live show, their non-stop dedication to performing on the road, and their unique Texas brand of heavy rock & roll boogie, blistering guitar solos, and thick grooves many find hard to believe for a 3 piece band.
Mothership came up not only in the local club circuit around Dallas/Fort Worth, TX, but also started out playing biker parties, car shows, and Harley Davidson sponsored events very early on as well. Mothership continues to be well tied into the car show/biker party scene having made appearances at Born Free 6 (2014), Vintage Torque Fest (2015), Iron Invasion (2015), and Giddy Up Vintage Chopper Show (2015 & 2016). The band was also featured in the March 2016 issue of Cycle Source Magazine.
2015 proved to be a very pivotal year for the band as they continued to gain notoriety with booking and successfully completing tours across North America with Crobot and Wilson on the "Drunk As Shit Tour", and with Corrosion of Conformity, Brant Bjork & The Low Desert Punks, and Saviours on the "Deliverance-Revival-Throwdown North America Tour". They also appeared live at Psycho California and landed a residency at the legendary Buffalo Chip for the Sturgis 75th Anniversary rally.
Only a few months into the 2016 year, Mothership has already completed another successful tour with Corrosion of Conformity in the United States, as well as a European tour with Wo-Fat including appearances at both DesertFest Berlin and DesertFest London. The band performed at DIMEBASH in Los Angeles, CA in January, and were picked to open for UFO in Dallas, TX in March. They have already been confirmed for Electric Funeral Festival in Denver, CO, Psycho Las Vegas, and a few dates with legendary heavy metal band Anvil. The band has also been confirmed to perform on the Shiprocked Cruise in January 2017.
