After a consistent run of sell out events during their 2013 and 2014 programmingand a succession of roadblock events across the world, the colony are once again preparing to descend on Ibiza for a third season of domination on the White Isle. A hugely respected entity amongst both new blood and true veterans of the scene, ANTS have built a solid reputation based on a colony of relentlessly taste making high profile bookings, as well as their all-star resident cast.
With their very first event taking place during the opening weeks of summer 2013, ANTS have since penetrated Ibiza’s commercial atmosphere from the
outset, taking residence at one of the island’s more mainstream hotspots, Ushuaïa Ibiza. Their famed Saturday parties quickly perforated the ideologies of Ibiza’s commercially focused mindset, fast becoming one the most popular underground events on the island. Since then, ANTS have relentlessly sold out parties both at home and further afield. They have staked their claim worldwide as one of the most distinctive and diverse event brands in the industry, throwing parties in Miami, Playa del Carmen, Manchester, Basel, and throughout Europe.
The coming season sees the colony taking over stages at premier summer festivals, including hosting duties at Croatia’s Barrakud Festival, both the Belgium and Netherlands editions of Extrema XO Outdoor Festivals, and a very special ensemble line up at premiere UK dance music event Creamfields.
While spreading their name across the lips of revelers around the clubbing world in 2015, the colony will once again set up home in their original nest; Ushuaïa Ibiza. Reemerging on Saturday June 6th with help from an extraordinary hoard of feature artists and high profile residents. Ushuaïa Ibiza’s picturesque pool sets the scene for their famed Saturday parties, making sure every DJs performs up close and personal with the masses before placing the booth back on center stage as evening sets in, presenting the event's headlining act with full-bodied, dramatic production value.
Joining returning resident and brand ambassador Andrea Oliva are a group of internationally renowned selectors from all corners of the globe. Danish techno powerhouse Kölsch will appear on a monthly basis, with legendary ‘House Gangster’ DJ Sneak also taking the mantle as an ANTS monthly resident. Mixing seasoned artists with contemporary success stories, ANTS will be adding Swedish 'percussive wet funk' pioneer Timo Mass and Manchester groove purveyor Ben Pearce to their monthly programming rotation. The final resident's slot has fallen to one of contemporary electronic music's most recognizable figures, as Maya Jane Coles will be taking command of the colony regularly throughout the season.
In addition to special guests throughout the season at Ushuaïa, ANTS will also welcome Spanish heroes and previous residents Los Suruba for eight selected dates at their events as well as another member of ANTS alumni; UNER. The Cadenza, Get Physical and Visionquest approved dance music titan will revisit the ANTS stage a number of times throughout the summer.
With dynamic line-ups planned across the coming months and many more announcements to be made, ANTS events look set to command the deeper, darker side of the White Isle for another year.
