LMFAO’s Redfoo takes over Wednesdays at the world’s biggest club PRIVILEGE with eight weeks of his PARTY ROCK ISLAND. Weekly July & August dates confirmed for the man behind hits including ‘I’m in Miami, Bitch’, ‘Get Crazy’ and ‘Party Rock Anthem’ together with the Party Rock Crew.
Known by many as not only the world’s biggest but also one of its best clubs, Privilege Ibiza in co-production with Positivagency has done it again, coming at us with one of the most interesting proposals of the summer- Redfoo & the Party Rock Crew- who are set to take up a weekly residence throughout July and August of summer 2012, the first of which takes place on Wednesday, 11th July.
Redfoo- one half of infamously cheeky U.S electro pop duo, LMFAO- has confirmed that he will be bringing himself and his crazy troupe of party rockers to the island of Ibiza for what can only be described as seven dates à la Party Rock at its most fun.
Redfoo and LMFAO first rose to fame in 2008 with the release of the duo’s first EP, ‘Party Rock’ which shot into the US & Canadian charts before spreading internationally. The group’s biggest hits to date, 'Party Rock Anthem' and 'Sexy and I Know it', have been flying up the charts to claim the number one position in more than twenty countries in 2011/2012.
Apart from that, and as far as the WEB 2.0 world is concerned, LMFAO & Redfoo are intrinsically linked with the online movement, and not only by their name; over 400,000,000 Youtube users have made "Party Rock Anthem" the 2nd most watched video in 2011 and the 7th most watched in the history of the online channel.
All that, several hits amongst them floor fillers ‘I’m in Miami, Bitch’ and ‘Get Crazy’and handfuls of awards later, now the afro haired, trunk wearing singer and party rocking performer is bringing his energy to Ibiza, converting the club into a poptastic electro island of fluorescent palm trees where these kids intend to show us, Ibiza ones, how to party the American way.
Word from the Redfoo camp is that America’s hottest party property plans to treat his Ibiza Party Rockers to guest DJs and performers including the likes of Apl.de.Ap (from the Black Eyed Peas), electro pop quartet Far East Movement (Best International Artist in Asian Music Awards 2010, double platinum for two million copies of "Like a G6", Number One on the Billboard Hot 100), Dutch duo Bingo Players (best known for their smash ‘Cry (Just a Little)’ and many more to be announced shortly.
Privilege has also confirmed that Redfoo will be bringing the party with the help of his own application called Beat Rock available now on the iTunes store, allowing him to perform his DJ set from his iPhone or iPad and get closer to the crowd for an overall more enthralling experience.
