Über Julius Jooste
South African born photographer, Julius Jooste, is best known for his work in the entertainment and night-life scene in Ibiza, Spain.
His career has seen him travel to The United States of America, South Africa, Spain and Germany for both academic and work-related projects.
In 2008 he graduated from AFDA (The South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance) where he majored in Production and sub majored in Cinematography.
Upon graduation he was recruited by a top live-TV and Sports production company based in Southern Africa where he produced for major broadcasters around the world. Major clients included Band TV (Brazil) and ZDF (Germany) for the FIFA Confederations Cup South Africa 2009 and FIFA World Cup 2010 South Africa respectively.
Late 2010 saw him change direction to work with his father at the family owned lighting company, Light-Be.
The company was best known for its work in the street lighting sector and gained the prestigious title as South Africa’s premiere lighting and reticulation company after numerous high-profile installations in preparation for the FIFA World Cup.
In 2013, after a very strenuous three year project in Kwa Zulu Natal, Julius left for Ibiza in search of balance and spirituality. A series of fortunate events landed him access to some of the world’s biggest and most awarded night clubs for Europe’s largest nightlife website, Diginights.com.
It is here where he would hone his talents as a glamour photographer and cement professional relationships with some of the world’s most exotic women: the dancers of Ibiza.
