Un aniversario por todo lo alto
¡Cómo pasa el tiempo! Hace nada estábamos celebrando nuestra mayoría de edad y aquí seguimos, cumpliendo 19 añazos a vuestro lado. Y lo celebramos por todo lo alto, con Phonique en cabina... <3
A mediados de los 90 Michael Vater, aka Phonique, comenzó organizando exitosas fiestas en Berlín al compás de los beats de Glen Gunner, Lil Tony, Alexkid o Llorca, e hizo quemar miles y miles de noches berlinesas, la de los miércoles sobre todo, desde el mítico club Tresor, una subterránea caja de caudales gigante que escondía en su interior sorprendentes gemas del techno.
Una cosa llevó a la otra... y en breve ya estaba detrás de los platos desarrollando un freestyle propio que combinaba influencias del hip hop, el d’n’b, old school o break beats, con una técnica impecable y un freestyle inconfundible.
En 2004 lanzaba "Identification" desde el sello Dessous, con colaboraciones magistrales y un estupendo feedback internacional que sería la antesala del megahit "For The Time Being", incansablemente reproducido por MTV y Viva Plus.
Phonique ya era famoso, se codeaba con los grandes (Jazzanova, Sven Väth, Steve Bug...) y volaba por las pistas de medio mundo: Sao Paulo, Helsinki, París, Londres, Marsella, Vienna, Bruselas, San Francisco, Praga, Tel Aviv… e iba consolidándose como uno de los mejores remixers del momento gracias a un house pulido, seductor y con mucho estilo.

An anniversary in style

In the mid 90s Michael Vater, aka Phonique, started organizing successful parties in Berlin to the beats of Glen Gunner, Lil Tony, Alexkid or Llorca, and burned thousands and thousands of Berlin nights, especially Wednesdays, From the mythical Tresor club, a giant underground safe box that hid surprising gems of techno in its interior .
One thing led to another ... and he was soon behind the plates developing a freestyle of its own that combined influences of hip hop, d'n'b, old school or break beats, with an impeccable technique and an unmistakable freestyle .
In 2004 he released "Identification" from the Dessous label, with masterful collaborations and great international feedback that would be the prelude to the megahit "For The Time Being", tirelessly reproduced by MTV and Viva Plus.
Phonique was already famous, rubbing shoulders with the big ones (Jazzanova, Sven Väth, Steve Bug ...) and flying around the world: Sao Paulo, Helsinki, Paris, London, Marseille, Vienna, Brussels, San Francisco, Prague , Tel Aviv ... one of the best remixers of the moment was being consolidated thanks to a polished, seductive and stylish music.
