Successfully hitting record capacity throughout the course of the night at their closing party this year, ANTS has been the standout debut Ibiza residency of 2013. Showing respect to the underground, whilst fitting perfectly in amongst the islands veterans, their colony of world-renowned guests, supported by their solid bill of residents has created a unique party atmosphere at Ibiza’s most sought after venue Ushuaïa Ibiza. Due to their quirky promotional campaigns and distinctive branding, ANTS has become the most talked about events of the season and with heavy plans for growth in 2013 and beyond, looks set to maintain its position.
ANTS deliberately keep the party underground and personal. In addition to the thousands of visitors flocking to Ibiza every summer, it is a party for the workers - the people who inextricably know the Ibiza scene - and this has been paramount to its success. From little bronze ants dotted around the island, to the ANTS logo on one-euro coins and cigarette boxes, the colony has been triumphant in its domination, encouraging everyone to join the colony. During the day DJs played behind Ushuaïa’s famous pool, placing them right in the action and as the evening unfolded the booth switched back to normal, with a heavy weight headliner announcing the second phase of the party. Fuelling the colony with positive vibrations are a range of top artists such as Joris Voorn, Nic Fanciulli, Deetron, George Fitzgerald, Hot Since 82, ONNO and emerging names like Andrea Oliva, UNER and Los Suruba.
Ushuaïa Ibiza and ANTS founder Yann Pissenem, had this to say about the growth of the colony:
"We are very proud and happy of the good reception of the debut season of ANTS and we expect that it grows organically more and more. If people continue liking it so much, we will spread the Colony to other countries. ANTS are everywhere!"
