Straight outta Kempten into the big wide world! 2013 the DJ and producer duo “Drunken Masters” caused a stir with their remix for none other than Diplo and his Major-Lazer Combo. Diplo liked the rework so much that he instantly played it on his radio show on BBC radio 1xtra. Shortly after Joe and Chrissi got together, chopped up some Waka Flocka flame-samples and thus produced the banger “Pow Pow” together with Chicago’s Willy Joy. With this track the two earned further international superstars’ respect, for example A-Trak and Flosstradamus, who even made this track a regular feature of their set for their last US-tour. Furthermore, in 2013 and 2014 Joe and Chrissi contributed official remixes for Casper, Duck Sauce, Beatsteaks and Haftbefehl.
Needless to say that, speaking of live performances, there was no chance of getting around the “Drunken Masters” in the last years. With performing at Splash! Festival, Deichbrand Festival, Southside Festival, Kosmonaut Festival, Utopia Island, Happiness Festival, Helene Beach or the OpenIn-Festival as well as doing DJ-gigs in the Netherlands, London or Barcelona, they once again showed impressively that behind the decks the “Drunken Masters” are far more than just an ordinary four-handed turn-up-machine. They also accompanied “Genetikk” on their tour through Germany, Austria and Switzerland and A-Trak on his both shows in Germany.
After they established „Crispy Crust Records“ with Dj Buddy Eskei83 recently, we can look forward for some new releases!
