unhappybirthday
Falling a bit into an early Factory Records mode, unhappybirthday use punchy drum machines to lock down the mechanical foundation of a sound that uses bright crystalline guitar lines to create contrast with somber submerged bass and synth fuzz. They have that upbeat sad song thing going that always feels so good. We can't help but think if Jürgen Gleue and the 39 Clocks had made soundtracks for those early John Hughes films – this is what it might sound like.

DeLorea Pontiac
Hyperactive melancholia fuels DeLorea Pontiac on the run from depression into a magical wonderland, where she is creating the sound of escapism. Inspired by 80ies pop melodies, 90ies dance drive, the kitch of dreamtrance, the dramatic art of dark wave and a lot of weirdness, she decided not to decide and is letting you in the dark whether to dance wild to her songs or just feeling swamped.
