Ibiza has been bound from half of the 20th century to the reputation of hippie island, an idea born in the 60s, during the war of Vietnam, when the first American young people took refuge in a small island in the Mediterranean sea, in order to escape from the conflict.
The first ‘peluts’, in this way the inhabitants of Ibiza called these foreigners of long hair and extravagant aspect, landed in a natural paradise, in a virgin and hospitable island: a perfect scenery for the interior adventure, the sensual experience, the hedonism and the creativity.
The “refuge island” became a place of pilgrimage in the 60s and a place of residence for intellectuals, artists, aristocrats and free souls. Musical bars, galleries and boutiques gave color to the Port of Ibiza and Dalt Vila, the north, with not many people at the time, received the first communes, Cat Stevens and Bee Gees were exercising in the bar Ses Guitarres of San Antonio…
In this magic atmosphere of explosion and discovery the night develops and inspires and it makes tribute to the origin of music and the party in the happiness island: Ibiza.
