The Band was puttogether in spring 2001 as a backing band foramericansinger/50´s recordingartist Rayburn Anthony (SUN Records "St. Louis Blues"). Axel Praefckesoonfoundtherightguystomakethisproject happen. Just a fewdaysbeforethe tour thewholething was cancelledandtherestood a well-rehearsed band withnothingto do..."Wedidn´twannaleaveitthisway after all thepractisingandthecountlesshoursofrehearsing" sayes Ike "andsomehoweverythingweplayedsoundedkindagood!" Goodol´ Rayburn wasn´tthere so wechangedoursetanddidsomenew material instead.Wetriedthatearly R&B thingand BANG! therewewere!

Cherry Casino andthe Gamblers madetheirfirstpublicappeareance in august 2002 on thefamous „Brandenburg- Weekender“ in Werder/Berlin andwent down verywell.The Boys havebuiltup a hugefollowingoffans, all over Europe. Constant touring, andtheirdynamic live stageshowhaswon Cherry Casino a hugelegionofdevotedfans. Five funny faces break theice in lessthan a secondevery time theyappearwiththeirwellblended mix ofearly R&B andfurious Rock and Roll ! 2005 continued in the same vainwithonelittledifference...After all the live showstheywerepreparingthemselvestocuttheirfirstalbum "Let´s Play Around". It was released in February 2006 followedbythealbum "FatMama´sDaughter" in 2008.
